Resurrection of the spirit - clear coated and sealed motorbike parts, seat and visor, stainless steel surgical rod (removed from artist's femur after he had recovered from the accident) saw blade, 1280 x 1400 x 950 mm.

Like the phoenix arising from the ashes my spirit was resurrected from the debris of a near-fatal motocycle accident.

Cutting storm

Cutting storm - Resin, stainless steel taps, saw blades, 1480 x 1030 mm. Saw blades and sharp streaks of lightening in the Cutting storm represent the pain suffered during Greg's motorcycle accidents and the depression that came later. They also signify the terrible cuts he recevied as a result of the accidents - several major surgical procedures that left his neck, legs and arms badly scarred.

The use of the tap on Greg;s work is a metaphor of the fragility of life and symbolises how easily life can be turned on and of.
