Greg Wilson’s dominant use of colour and texture in his work is deliberate. ‘It was the colours I used in my paintings that started to bring me out of the darkness that consumed me after my motorcycle accidents,’ he said.
Greg spoke about the use of vibrant colours in his work with Gillian Lord, respected journalist for the Canberra Times. She reported: 'Bright colours are a hallmark of Greg Wilson's paintings. So bright they make you gasp and a flash of instant cheer.'
‘I want my paintings to bring joy and colour into people’s lives,’ Greg said, when describing his bold· use of colour during his New York exhibition.··
